Log in to the summit computer for your instrument
(e.g., lrisserver for LRIS).
Running an FTP session to the mainland from a
computer at HQ in Waimea will drastically reduce the
transfer efficiency!
Use the cd command to move to your data
directory. Note that data disks can be accessed using the
syntax /s/sdataXXX.
Use sftp or scp to connect to your home institution's
site and transfer the data.
